I wish I could adopt everyone of these cats and dogs but I just can't do that. Instead I volunteer at my local shelter, here in Port Townsend, every week photographing the animals. Usually a volunteer who is walking the dogs brings them out for a quick photograph or I hang out in the cat room waiting for the perfect photo. Having only a couple minutes for each animal I strive to catch that certain look that will help them get adopted like a tilt of the head like I got from Karl or a smile from Louie the puppy.
You can visit the Humane Society of Jefferson County Tuesday-Sunday or call them at 385-3292.
Keep Deja View Photography in mind if you would like to contact me about taking photographs of your own pet. I have a portrait studio here in Port Townsend, perfect for a pet session or I can come to your home where your pet may be more at ease to be photographed. I'm blessed to have two wonderful dogs as my companions. Knowing how our pets are such an important part of our families it seems only natural that you would want to photograph them, or you with them, documenting your special relationship. You can reach me at 360 385-2662.

Port Townsend Engagement Session-Love on the Farm on Marrowstone.
The light was amazing the evening I took these images. They so much fun to photograph and we all agreed the animals should be included in the session along with the farm's pigs.

Brass Screw Confederacy in Port Townsend.
This year was my first time to photography the Brass Screw Confederacy weekend in Port Townsend. This was the third year for the event and I was thrilled when asked to have my image used in the July newsletter for the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce.
