Dr. Mattern, from Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, honored by WA Rural Health Association

A couple years ago I was hired by Jefferson Healthcare to photography staff at what was the new Sheridan Medical Building. I got lots of great images over several days but one of my favorite moments was sitting in with Dr. Mattern as he visited with a new mom. I tried to be a fly on the wall while taking candids. I was touched to see him interacting with this family and captured this sweet moment with the baby in his arms. Dr. Joseph Mattern is both the Jefferson Healthcare Chief Medical Officer as well as a primary care Physician. He was just recognized for his work by the Washington Rural Health Association. I also took this image that was included with an article about him and his award in the PDN this week. Congratualtions Dr. Mattern. #dejasphotos.com #jeffersonhealthcare http://www.peninsuladailynews.com/…/jefferson-healthcare-c…/
