Adorable Shepherd puppies and kittens available this week at the Humane Society of Jefferson County. 

Concert on the Dock starts tomorrow night with Jim Nyby & the F Street Band. Should be a lot of fun, just bring your winter jacket, hat and mittens for our cool fall weather. :)

Watercolor Fun

Working on some major updates on my home which has had me sorting through spaces representing different phases in my life. Found & scanned this simple watercolor I did years ago inspired by a postcard with an image by Winslow Homer. One day when not consumed with photography I think I'll try more watercolors and dig out my basket making supplies from my days with my business Natures Baskets by Deja. So much to do and so little time.

Great band playing this evening at Port Townsend Brewery from 5-8 with no cover charge. I first heard Joy in Mudville at a Main Streets Concert on the Dock a couple years ago. In fact if you can't make it out to hear them tonight they will be playing Thursday, August 8th at Concert on the Dock. Compliment Your Mirror Day

Believe it or not today is Stay Out of the Sun Day & Compliment Your Mirror Day. Looking outside my window the first one should be easy to follow today. The second one is a good remind of something we should do every day for ourselves. As a Photographer I know it is not easy having your photo taken. I find when I photograph men and especially woman we are all tough on ourselves & often describe flaws in detail, nearly all of them I don't see. Everyone has one eye bigger than the other which many people are surprised to find when we look at their image. All my clients are beautiful to me. For the 30 minutes or so I have with them I hope I make them feel that way & they see that in their final image.
